Over the years, SAHELI has implemented a wide range of community-based and capacity-building initiatives aimed at empowering women, adolescents, and marginalized communities. These initiatives laid a strong foundation for the organization’s current rights-based and development-focused interventions.

  • Promotion of Organic Farming: Promoted organic farming practices among rural and tribal communities to enhance food security, improve livelihoods, and encourage sustainable agriculture through training and field demonstrations.

  • Skill Development and Vocational Training: Provided skill training to women and youth to improve employability and income-generation opportunities through locally relevant and market-aligned skills.

  • Micro-Enterprise Development: Supported women in initiating and managing micro-enterprises through enterprise planning, financial literacy, and collective business models.

  • Sensitization of Decision Makers: Engaged local leaders, elected representatives, and government officials on gender equality, women’s rights, and social justice issues.

  • Interfacing with Service Providers: Facilitated interactions between communities and health, education, legal, and welfare service providers to improve access and responsiveness.

  • Organization of Service Provision Camps: Organized health, legal, and welfare service camps at the community level to improve access to essential services.

  • Formation of Women’s Forums: Established Women’s Forums as safe spaces for dialogue, leadership development, collective action, and advocacy.

  • Legal Aid for Redressal of Violence Against Women: Provided legal aid and referral support to women facing violence, enabling access to justice and statutory protection mechanisms.

  • Strengthening of Self-Help Groups (SHGs): Facilitated the formation and strengthening of SHGs to promote savings, livelihoods, mutual support, and social empowerment.

  • Formation of Adolescent Girls’ Groups (AGGs): Formed adolescent groups to build awareness on health, education, life skills, and rights while fostering confidence and leadership.
